and I have just noticed that they are sucking up more resources than they are supposed to, I can get them going again if I reload more resources, but it seems to be taking 2 or 3 times as much as it needs. Shouldn't it use all of the available resources it has and send me an e-mail saying it's out of ingredients? instead it will leave a small amount of the resources and stop all together.

This seems to be an intermittent bug that only a few folks are experiencing. It is call "the factory ate my sock" bug. No idea what causes it, and it's not easily reproducable. You might try redeeding the factory and placing it again.

so I redeeded and it still didn't work. I put in a CSR ticket fr it about 6 hours ago but no response. thanks SOE

i had the problem and when i finally got through to them, the literally wanted my lifestory... when did you put the items in, when did it stop, how many resources and what type did you put in, how many went missing, what is your shoue size, please include your DNA profile along with parents full names and next of kin.

I just cut my losses and deleted the ticket and privately cursed SOE (i still do that btw)

Now when i make factory runs of something important i take a screenshot where you can see the ingame timestamp of a recent message, they wont take them for proof, but it will help me to remember what i put in it.

so how did you fix the problem?

i didnt, what i tried to say is the CSR was ver much not helpfull, so i just ignored him and took the hit.

You probably already thought about this, or checked.... but as far as the "no e-mail notification" goes.... any chance one of your alts (or a friend) is the one who placed the factories? If so... that's where the e-mails are going... not to the person who started up the run.

Yep like the guy above me stated the emails will ONLY go to the character who owns the factory. And the only solution I have found works is to re-deed the factory and place it somewhere else. If possible a good distance away from where it was. Like another guy posted it could be server lines causing the problems but Im not sure. All I know is we moved it away and that stopped the problem from occuring.
