Bone armor had resistance against Energy. Mabari has resistance against Heat and Blast?

could someone break down exactly what this means, what type of attacks it protects agains, whatever.

bone = blaster

mabari = melee

Mabari has kinetic as one of it's secondary resistances.

after the cu i left the game for about 4 months and just came back.Since the resistance's have been removed im woundering if they are still in the game? I know we still have layers for armor but do we know they still work?

.......gosh darn it ive typed this thread three times now already, i would like to know if,basicly we could make a suit with all of one type of layer and it resist almost all damage of that type or do special damages even still exsist? like rancor's still do electricity so couldnt we put electricity layers in every slot or is there caps that stop that
