I've tried using advanced search to find this answer but can't seem to. If you have armor with multiple pieces, each of which has a listed hindrance, what is the value of your total hindrance? If I have two arm pieces, both of which list 24% hindrance, am I hindered 48%, 24%, or some other amount? I have read some answers that say it just takes the highest of what you have on, but not in a definitive way. Does anyone know for sure?
I greatly appreciate any help!
Thanks!

You are only hindered 24%. If it wasn't that way, you would never be able to fully mitigate the armor. For example, each piece of advanced recon has around a 58% rate of fire hinderence. 7 * 58% = 406%. Master only mitigates up to 60%. It doesn't stack, and it only takes account your highest hinderencepiece of all your armor pieces.

Additional info: The highest hinderance for each category is used. So, if you have capped recon and assault pieces in your suit, your hinderance is 60-40-60 for example. As Lev said, they are not cumulative, but the game uses the highest hinderance for each out of what you have equipped.
The aboveis exactly how it works.
