Thread: need help... couple of questions about crafting marauder armor

hehe well, first i'll tell you the answer, then i'll tell you how to figure it out for yourself 
the segs and cores oq and sr are 50%/50%, so for the resources you put in those add oq and sr together and whichever resource has the highest is your best.
In the apearance phase though(like assembling merauder armor) it takes oq sr and dr 33%/33%/33% (not sure where the other one percent comes from but apperantly it does)
so again add up but this time adding oq sr and dr, and yet again highest wins.
Now how to figure this out for yourself
open your crafting tool and select the schematic.
you should now be in the input resources phase, if you simply scroll down in the info window on the right hand side of this window it will list the percentages that are factored into which part of the armor. You can also look in your data pad draft schematics, its listed there as well but i find its easier just to use the tool(a lot less laggy to).

hey all...
when crafting marauder armor, it asks for "low-grade ore" and "bristley hide".
i found some.. actually A LOT of bristley hide for sale on vendor search, but there doesnt seem to be an all around good one on there. Some have high OQ and low SR's while others are opposite. Which ones are most important and best to buy, the ones with a real high OQ and low SR, or High SR and low OQ?
and my second question is this... what is low grade ore? i have lots of intrusive, extrusive and silastic ore saved up that has been harvested, but i dont quite understand low grade ore? is it asking for poor quality ore or is there a "low grade" ore that i cant find on vendors or swgcraft?
perhaps its an old term, something used before CU that is something different now.
please respond, any help will be greatly appreciated.

haha well swgcraft is a god send! i never fully utilized the website... but i just answered my own stupid question about "low grade ores". i found the answer on the resource tree.
but i am still confused about the bristley hides. the only ones im seeing are either High OQ, low SR, or vice versa. and the best all around one ive found on vendor search is 100 k units for 2 mill credits and its like 800 OQ and 500 SR.
still need help figuring the hide out.. thanks guys
