I recently (pre CU) bought a large order of armour padding for wookie armor yet now this is classed as battle armour segment???? itis still called padding though?? is this a bug or am i just screwed with a huge amount of bad segs and needing to get more padding from a tailor? What is now calssed as armou padding? please advise.

The wook armor still has a mandatory slot for padding

Wookiee Armour DOES need Armour Padding
Old Armour Padding has been converted to segments so you need to get NEW Armour Padding for it to work.
I am also doubting whether the resources used the Armour Padding matter anymore tho. The tailor that made them for me did experiemention with them and her schematics said they needed OQ/SR/UT, however the end products have no stats at all...I haven't been able to test the end results with different standards, but from the Wookiee Armour I have made I would guess they don't have any stats at all anymore and are basically another form of Synth Cloth type thing.

yah, had some made last night and she said she couldnt experiment on them as well... they came out with no stats at all...
im boggled by some of the things the devs did... why the hell would they convert existing armor padding to layers and make the schmatics useless.

Damn, I cannot believe thatwe missed this in beta.
BIGissue for me as an armorsmith, as I lost about 900 units of pre-CURB armor padding that were converted to crappy battle armor segments.
HUGE issue for the Wookiee community in general, as it will once again cause their armors to be far more expensive than non-Wookiee players.
So the question now is, does Padding do anything?

If the stats on the Armor Paddings don't matter then I don't think it will bump up prices a lot (as long as they didn't change resource requirements for Paddings). Hide is pretty easy to come by now, I was able to get over 200k with a friend and myself who are both 4040 scouts out on Endor. You'll just need to focus on junk Wooly and another junk type. It was painful to use the Wooly before but now it seems that all hides are equally useful with all of the different schematics.

My experimentation on TC-EP3 convinced me that experimentation on armor padding gave no results and it had no stats. It is now just a more expensive form of synth cloth.
