Ok.. I finally levelled to where I can make these on Bloodfin. Thefirst one I made started out with energy resistance 2, effectiveness all resists 2.. After about 10 minutes of being equipped, everything jumped up to 20 percent.

The next one I built, I got into a fight while wearing it. Sometime during the fight, its condition dropped to zero. Explain this please!

I trained the skill to make these items, however, I'm unable to find the schematics in any of the crafting devices. What crafting device do I use? I'm wondering if I made a mistake in not training Chitin instead.

Thanks in advance for any help!

OK, first questions, are you up to sheild generators II yet? if not, the tier I skill only gives you the components, not the accualy generators.

Second, are you using a PERSONAL crafting station, not a public one? You should be using a weapons/armor crafting tool, and need to be in range of a personal crafting station, the public ones in town will not work.

This means in a personaly owned house, you have set up a crafting station. They're made by architects.

When out looking for guns, I saw Personal Shield Generators listed on someone's vendor -- unfortunately I don't remember which one. Can someone provide some information about these?

1. Are they equipped like a piece of clothing or used in conjunction with something -- like socketed clothing or other armor? If it is like clothing, will I need to discard a piece of equipped clothing to make room on my avatar? For example, give up my jacket or shirt. I noticed I couldn't equip a jacket, shirt, and buffed bandolier I looted...

2. Is this generally made by an Armorsmith (it seems to fall with armors) or by a Weaponsmith?

3. Is anyone on Corbantis currently producing Shield Generators and what should one expect to pay for one?

4. The MK1 seems to have an integrity of 1875-3125 but the MK3 has an integrity of 468-781. Is this because the MK3 "absorbs" more damage so it should effectively wear out more quickly?

5. For those selling or using Shield Generators, what is found to be the best trade off -- the MK1 with higher integrity or the MK3 with greater protection?

6. Are these generally considered "one-shot" type of armors? It would appear that even with an integrity of 3125, a strong mob or one heatedbattle could effectively wear it out.

PSGs are currently bugged..

but yes, armorsmiths make PSGs, they are worn with your armor if youd like.

And yes Draevyn.. until they are fixed consider them "one shot" devices..

I make em.. mostly just for guildies.. and mostly to supplement standard armor during tough fights..

(And because I consider making them kinda fun.. if not a bit tedious... why cant the components have their own artwork??)

Id say half of what I make goes toward a few Bounty Hunters.. who burn em up on their kill-missions

they are worn in the belt slot.. and are repaired.. currently.. with a clothing repair tool.. go figure.. bugs

-also.. you need to repair em before they hit zero durability to have any chance of salvaging them.. more bugs

So whats the deal with these? Are they worth it and what exactly do they add? I know absolutely nothing about them so any and all help is greatly appreciated. Also what should I look for in a good one? Anything in particular?

So with a durability of 1500+ how long will one last?
