I am a new armorsmith and last night a friend gave me some nice resources and I got 941 protection on a battle armor segment. What stats should I expect when I make the cores?

Its going to depend some on your core resources. With my segments at 930-931, I get 5479 on the cores.
WIth other segments such as recon, I have 933 and almost max out my cores at 6590 (energy). Others have had higher segments and don't max out the cores due to there core resources.
But 941 is a pretty good start. You'll probably do ok even with decent core resources.

WIth 941 segments?
I would think somewhere around 4700-4900
Those numbers might be off.
My segments are 975, and I get 5665 Advanced Battle cores.

Wow..975......Isn't unlayered battle armor maxed at 6k? Is so, with the +400 you get to the cores, are you effectively losing 65 points? Not sure its a big deal, but may be something to think about if you really hit your cores well.

Yeah. I am losing it. But I'd rather go over the 6K then under it.
My first batch of segments were at 947, and they hit 5965. It irritated me to no end. So, i worked until I got over 965, and they ended up at 975.

Agreed....Although you can't probably do this now, if you can go over it means you may be able to tweak which resources you use and might be able to get by with some that aren't your best. If I can ever reach that point, I'll definitely be looking at those segment resources to see which ones I might be able to save.

just remember that the cores should be 5600 or as little above as possible cause the final combine adds 400.

I agree, however. To get to the 92+% expirementation it requires takes resources, not expirementation points. If you get to 90.5%, you will still not be making capped armor. On my server, only capped armor really sells. We have 3-5 Master Armorsmiths making it capped constantly. They don't sell any less. To compete, I need to be selling capped armor.

ive made 6600 recon with 920 segs before and the base was 5600
therefore you should be able to hit a base of 5700ish with those segments

Anything above 5600 is a waste?

Also, how long does it take to produce Segments in a factory?
