It was actually in a list from Tiggs on known bugs they were working on. She even mentioned the armor crate bug believe it or not. :-)

You can trade bio-linked armor via a factory. Just make you and your trade partner admin on the factory and you can swap stuff over the input hopper.

You can also drop and pick up bio stuff when you are the OWNER of a house. You could /transferstructure when it is a friend and then switch it back after armor is picked up.
