Thread: whats stats should i go for on resources
For components you need to have your eye on the OQ+SR (50/50)
For the final combine you need DR+OQ+SR (33/33/33)
As for stats it all depends on the resource you need, as one resource maybe heavily "gated" to max at a lower value.
Example: Whereas Kammris Iron has no gate on the OQ or SR (1000 OQ/SR possible) Something like Plumbum Iron has its SR gated (1000 OQ / 500 SR possible)
Best advice is to camp out at your servers resource listing at SWGcraft.com or if you're on Tempest Asiabrothers.com and familiarize yourself with what gates are what. Personally I just keep my eye out and if I see something spawned lets say that Plumbum Iron, and it spawned at 985 OQ 467 SR, I'll snatch that up in a heartbeat since its obviously close to the best possible. When you inset them into your schematic just look at the green bar to see where it lands in quality, as the calculations take into mind the resources max values. Example being a stack of Kammris Iron with the same stats as the before mention Plumbum Iron, would be valued lower in the crafting screen then the Plumbum.
Hope that this makes some sense and I haven't just confused you further. Perhaps someone else can elaborate more....

thats great thank you very much just what i needed
When you are judging the suitability of hide, what would be your lower limit for the average of OQ and SR? By that, I mean (OQ+SR)/2. I'd like to learn how low that average could be before the hide would be unusable, no matter the price.
Thank you.

Personally I like to go no lower than 850/850 if possible and 800/800/800 on the final combine hides again if possible. We did have a kickarse spawn of nabooian scaley recently 989 OQ 807 SR (117 DR so is a waste on final combine) so it comes to an average quality of 898. Went broke buying as much of it as I could, but since good spawns are so few and far between it seems, I'm glad that I'm sitting on 700k+ of it, since at least thats one less organic I'll have to worry about for a while. Personally for me anything below 800 averagejust doesn't get the job done and only gives crap stats. Unfortuantely I'm still waiting on a good spawn of dathomir and corellian fiberplast since those are what are killing my component quality atm (only around 250- 400 average OQ+SR

So, it looks like any hide, with an average below 800, is of no interest to Armorsmiths. Thank you. That helps.
armoursmith and resources just doesnt get any easier
