hardly need it at all. Layers barely use 9 points if you use uber resources, segments and cores you can make a tiny difference on condition, and then appearance you barely use 9 points if you use uber resources again.
Which means.... you get a smidgit of more condition that nobody will notice, all for 20+ million credits. I hit the box saying you have extra expe3rimentation points so many times I wish they'd get rid of it.

u know...its not worth 20 mil for a suit. I just bought one. Good for a few things increasing condition(a little) and gaining more sockets per pc.

Key word there, you "just" bought one. Of course it doesn't cost you 20 miilion now...it's worthless! Pre-CU, when Okram bought his, it was worth every last credit.

Being 12 pt is almost worthless now. Some more condition maybe or you can compensate for a critical failure. but all in all i wouldn#t spend any money on it.

on 0-10 scale with 0 being no importance and 10 being importance
experimentation (12 points) 0
assembly (+25) 8
can max experimentation with 7-9 points every time, buy the tapes now while they aer cheap if it becomes valuable later, but......not necessary at all whatsoever
now assembly is still very usefull. If you hannd craft stuff with health enhancements these are a must. If you are making a chestplate and have done 3 seperate runs of segments (all by hand) the last thing you want is a failure when you are crafting your core schematic. If you don't hand craft (do way more postCU) then don't bother

I still find my 12 points useful... not worth the 20 mil. anymore but useful none-the-less.

Sometimes I'll put down a harvester, add maintenance, pull it up and delete it. I used to be able to do away with a lot of credits that way but now they've put in that annoying 100K limit per deposit. It slowed me down but I made a macro... just switch it on and go to bed. Of course, once in awhile, I REALLY want to waste some credits so I buy AS experimentation tapes.

do you still need 12 pnts to compete in the armor business?
Don't forget to get FS master crafter for making armor too. It's de bomb.

yes it does. go ahead, try it out, make 3 segments with maxed condition, plug into a core, dont exp anything on core. now make one with no cond exp on segs into another core.... should see like a 5-10k difference on the armor. not much I admit, bit if you grind unlayered segemtns for double amazings like me, it lets you kick your condition to 47-50K per piece with great appearance resoruces (this is with nonfaction too btw)

I get 40k resists on m,ost with "decent" resources, and 47k with good, so I am sure 50k isnt out of the question but I am too lazy to find high DR
I am not convinced a double amazing would be beneficial yet, or the 12 points for that matter, and besides how many customers even look at condition?
