I'm reforming the Antarian Rangers on Starsider currently, and have a few questions for you all. First however I want you to be aware that as a multi-server "group" we're trying to stop price gouging by selling at a fair rate (we have a pricing guide/structure thats being worked on. Fred from Eclipse is doing a great job with this already as well) Its believed that happy, return customers are better in the long run then a one-stop hologrinder. However there will always be people trying to corner the market, offering large sums simply because they have more money then they'll ever need. Regardless we're going to try. Though, we're not going to be taken advantage of just because we're trying to be fair You'd be surprised how much we like to trade for items and services though. *nudge*
Right now as we're forming there is just simply too great of a demand to have a stocked vendor. I'm almost certain if I advertised a vendor and went to bed it would be empty in the morning. So right now we're starting off with auctions here on the forums. My question is, what volume of stacks offer the most value/use to you all? I'm aware of the stats you guys need, but not so sure on the quantities.
We're going to try and cater to the casual crafter and for those of you who do complete factory runs. So analysis on both would be very much appreciated. I'm also aware a lot of you probably just buy as much of the high quality stuff as you can get your hands on, but we want to try and get stuff to everyone (we will however continue to hold large lot auctions here on the forums occasionally.)
Thanks in advance.

Be a while before the market for wooly hides wakes up on Valcyn ![]()
We had awesome wooly hide spawn on Tatoine and most armorers were offering around 75 cput for it and I would say each of the top 5 AS each stocked between 250 and 500k of it ![]()
I grabbed 380k myself and could have grabbed more if I had wanted..

Think of armorsmithing as the bottomless pit
Even 500k isn't enough. You never know how long it will be until the next good spawn. I can easily burn 100k hides in a week. We had a drought for quite a long time, then several planets spawned decent woolyhides back to back ( I'm now broke buying it all
) Even YAVIN finally spawned something decent (needed for padded). If you find something good spawning, harvest it 'til it unspawns. Auction some of it off. Save some of it to auction later, if smiths seem glutted (or broke). I'm telling ya, half the scouts on our server are holding back, just waiting for us to offer 75cpu to get our hands on some as we run out. I can feel it

I agree completely with everyone above. The problem with wooley hide is that there are fewer critters that drop wooley and when they DO drop, they drop in lesser amounts. Coupled with that, wooley hide goes into all of the advanced armors.
I just bought some wooley from Endor that had OQ+SR=1850 and i paid 67cpu for 32K of it. Any amount of good wooley hide is valuable to us. Rule of thumb... 1K-5K stacks minimum, but the larger the stack the better if its the good stuff.
