All...

This is my very first visit to the Armorsmith forums. I am Master Smuggler/Master Rifleman so I slice armor, but I don't wear it!

Anyway, I have a couple of questions. I was hunting on Dantooine last night with a couple of friends and we took all kinds of missions from quenkers to voritors to pikets and bols.We completed all our missions and split up and I went on about my slicing business. A bit later, I opened my inventory to do something and I noticed a new item. It was a square Voritor Lizard plate with some interesting stats. THere were some encumberance numbers, etc. (You will have to excuse me, I am at work and didn't bring the voritor plate with me! lol)

Could you please answer the following questions?

1. Is this something you usewhen you make armor?

2. Are they common? Or is it actually worth something (I realize it may depend on stats i dont have with me)

3. I didn't intentionally LOOT a voritor corpse, but might have hit the wrong button... do you have to LOOT to pick these off the lizard? Or do you get them automatically when you kill or harvest? (I was harvesting the corpses for bone).

4. From memory, I remember it had encumberance and mind values around 12 or 14...I assume this is an additional weight that the wearer has to bear?
5. Anything else I should know about it? Is there a ballpark figure for selling these if it's worth anything?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

1. Yes. Voritor Scales are used to enchnce Armor Segments. And Voritor Segemnts are used as an alternative to bone, adv bone, or interwoven bone segments in bone armor.

2. Segments are very common. Scales are not as common but you can expect to find a couple in a hour of heavy voritor hunting. Segments are not worth much but many armorsmiths wouldn't mind taking the SCALES off of you hands as they can be used in most armors.

3. You must have looted the dead voritor. Unless it jumped into your pack as you killed it.

4. That encumberance is either added tot eh armor's final weight (Scale) or the replacement encumberance for a segment that would normally be there. In your case it's probably a segment.

5. Varies from server to server. I buy scales for 500cred on radiant

Thank you so much, Preloaded...

It sounds likethis item isn't worth the trouble. If scales are worth more than segments, and scales are only worth around 500, then I guess I'll just destroy it. Inventory space is a premium right now, and 500 doesnt mean anything to me.
