Okay. I have a character on TC. However, I am NOT going to grind for days to get to master armorsmith. That said, my character on TC has 6 artisan experimentation points. I did a little experimenting with CDEF pistols since they have more than 1 experimentation path. I wasn't able to find any 'good' resources on TC or any players to try to get some.
The way crafting armor is in live right now, each experimentation point gets you a 7% improvement. This improvement is 7% on the scale from 0 to 100% of the maximum if all your resources had stats of 1000.
The way crafting appears to be on TC is that each experimentation point doesn't get you 7% on that scale of 0 to 100 but it gets you a percentage that is based on the quality of the resources you used.
Any thoughts? Corrections?
I'm trying to dig through all thebantering and figure out EXACTLY what has changed. Some of the things I've seen, if true would cause me to quit the instant these changes go live. However, if what I've detailed above is correct then I'll give it a chance.

One of my posts floating around here, and reposted on the relevent In Testing thread, I believe, explains exactly how it works. I don't think the thread on this forum has slipped all that far down.

If I understand all the posts correctly armor made after the patch will be Crap compared to armor made before the patch.

Yep, and don't forget all the versatility will be ripped out of every item other than furniture and powerups.
