Hello Armoursmiths,
Me and a guildmate were thinking of starting up a AS shop and we were wondering how hard it would be to start in the post CU enviroment. As of right now all we have are big dreams and about 60 mil starting capital. Any advice that you senior AS can give or those who made the transition form the old system to the new would be greatly appreciated.
I guess the 2 questions I have are do we need to be 12 pts to be competitve in the new system and what stickies would you say are a must read, other than that id love to hear everyones own personal advice.
thanks to everyone who responds

No, you do not.
I would just read all the new CU armor documents in order to gain an understanding of the armor system, and then browse the AS board frequently.
I would wait until everything is fixed before starting up the shop right now.
(Wish I had 60 million when I started out.

You could start by noting what type of armor you'd like to specialize in and dig up the resources required. If any current spawns are available and good, you should mine as much of it as you can. Since you have a lot of starting capital, you should invest in purchasing Resource Kits for whatever else you cannot dig up yourself.
You're at a tremendous advantage with so much starting capital. I'm just starting out myself, and only had 500k in seed money. As such, I'm finding that I can only specialize in one type of armor for now.
