from a buyer stand point(with no AS knowledge) is this stuff super difficult to craf? like what is a price i should expect to pay versus normal stuff? 2x, 3x ,10x?

surely this is not worth it . Is it not 6k resists new system = to 50% resists old system and 10k resists new system =60% old system

very nice suit... i intend to make one similar now that my layer resources are better.

From the armor sticky:
4000 = 36.0%
5000 = 42.5%
6000 = 48.0%
7000 = 52.5%
8000 = 56.0%
So you basically get 8ish% additional protection on energy at the cost of 14ish% loss of kinetic resistance. Not really worth the effort IMHO. But the extra 315 health is nice.
Why they put dimishing returns on armor is beyond me, because armor caps still exist.

If only I had some plexite gemstone.. *dreams away* Jedi-killer suits will probably be pretty popular among BH/Pistoleer combos, and there seem to be a few of those.

Did you use all shards to get your health bonus, or is there another recon loot enhancer out there? Building a similar recon suit for myself

very nice 8096/6000 is the best i've been able to pull up so far. my plextite is holding me back from memory.

For mass market, not worth it. For those that like Elite armour, this is worth it.
Can it give you the edge in this current combat system, yes. The stats allow you to take at least 1 more hit over a PvP fight duration, this means something now.
I just like to get resource together and spend some time make nice armour. This is just because I can, I am a Master Armoursmith.
