I made a very simple Excel spreadsheet to replace my old spreadsheet (due to the change in the Combat Upgrade).
My spreadsheet is very simple and easy to use. It allows basic calculations for determining how many resources you need to make layers, segments, cores and armor pieces.
The information is located on my personal webspace: http://s122311244.onlinehome.us/
If you want to calculate the experimentation percentages while figuring in resource quality and quantity, you will need to seek a smarter and more talented armorsmith. I just did the basics so I can get back to work.
The best part of the entire excel sheet is the Armor Resources guide (PDF, Excel and HTML formats available at the website).

For those of you who do not have MS Excel, here is a link to a free MS Excel viewer with instructions:

Finally finished uploading everything.
I will do edits in this post instead of the 1st post because it keeps screwing up my HTML in post 1.
thanks,

if I may make a suggestion
instead of listing it by alphabetically, why not break it down by resource types?
(like the way the survey tools are) like have metal, then under steel, then under specific types of steel, ect. Make it easier to keep track imho.

I will look into that ... to be honest, I use the alphabetical listing because it is the easiest way for me to figure out what I have from my harvester farms that can work with my armor resources.
That is assuming you are talking about my static armor resource sheet.
If you are talking about the excel sheet, people can make adjustments to it. It has no password protections or anything.
I will add another "static" resource sheet that breaks them down. I do know what you are talking about in terms of the survey tool. As an added benefit, no one will get incapped while they are using it.

Several updates to the Excel sheet.
Now it figures a generic average cost based on the calculate page (cost of hide and resources).
Allows you to input the number of XXX you want and tells you how much resources you need to make XXX.
