Hey Caile-

How about a known issues thread that gets stickied. I know that I can speak for a lot of AS's when I say that I'd rather not have to read 1000 messages before I log in every day just to see if there's been any reasonable progress on the numerous outstanding problems that are presently plaguing our profession. Nothing special, it could just be a list with a brief description of the problems and a short prognosis that gets updated whenever the developers deem us worthy of an official response.

The following is a list of stuff that I came up with off the top of my head. I put down resopnses that I thought reflected the "official" current state of affairs with Armorsmithing. Some are probably wrong, and others may be fixed and I just don't know it. I'm sure I've left off something obvious, too.

I would hope the thread could be a place where people could easily look for the answer to their question even if the answer is "We don't know yet."

1. Components With No Usable Stats: Many layers were not converted properly during the CU. These include Night Sister Layers and previously crafted layers.
The developers are currently working on a solution for fixing the conversion on NS layers but haven't said a word about your old stock of pre-cu crafted layers. You may have had Rancor/janta hides, scales or shards with no usable stats. These items are now fixed and give a health bonus between 10 and 15 points.

2. Decayed Components: If you disassembled RIS or Mando armor and were unfotunate enough to die with these objects in your posession, they took decay and are now completely un-usable.
The developers are aware of the problem and...??? Plan to/do not plan to change this. Here's why/how.

3. Health Bonuses: Do chestplates really require 3x the loot enhancers (5x for recon) to achieve the same health bonus as a similarly constructed bracer? Will recon wearers ever be able to make up the lost health bonuses by having integrated biceps?

4. Boots, Gloves and Sockets: Will boots and gloves ever be socketed again or will everyone just end up wearing mismatched clothing boots and gloves so that they can carry a few more CA's?

5. Refitting Part One: How do I refit armor?
You can use the radial menu to refit any piece of composite armor using the radial menu on that armor. Follow the instructions you receive after starting the process. You will need to decide what kind of armor you intend to refit to before you begin, i.e., Recon Battle, Assault.

6. Refitting Part Two: If I don't refit my armor now, will I be able to later?
Yes, until further notice all pre-cu armor is refitable.

7. Factory Times: Can we lower the factory times, please?
Thank you for saying please, but there is no plan to lower factory times.

8. Resource Usage: It takes 4x as many hides as it used to to make armor! This is crazy! Can it be changed, please!
Thank you for saying please, but there is no plan to lower resource requirements at this time.

9. Pre-CU Crated Armor: My pre-CU armor still in crates has wildly different stats when I pull the units from crates
The developers are aware of this and...??? Plan to/do not plan to change this. Here's why/how

10. PSG's Part One: I can't put a PSG into my ADK!
The developers are aware of this and...??? Plan to/do not plan to change this. Here's why/how

11. PSG's Part Two: My PSG's seem to take damage to their condition like normal armor, but do not charge and discharge as described in the documents.
The developers are aware of this and...??? Plan to/do not plan to change this. Here's why/how

12. PSG's Part Three: New IPSG's can't be made in factory crates?
IPSG's are no longer intended to be made in large factory runs.

13. PSG's Part Four: My PSG is operating strangely. It had good energy resists when I put it on, now after some usage, the resits have dropped to near zero, even though the PSG still has good condition.
The developers are aware of this and...??? Plan to/do not plan to change this. Here's why/how

14. Primus Layers Primus layers do not seem to be properly displaying their stats at all stages of construction/usage
The developers are aware of this and...??? Plan to/do not plan to change this. Here's why/how

15. Faction Armor Part One: Is it possible to make crates of faction armor? I can only seem to make factory schematics of belts
No. You will have to do the final assembly of faction armor by hand. The only exception: utility belts are currently factory crateable.
