yes i agree this would be a great advantage to each faction. Make a rebel armorsmith make a different rebel armor and the imperial make ST armor.

All I can say is YES!

But then again we are at the whim of the devs on that one. Let's hope they allow for this to be implemented some day. I would love to be able to craft faction armor.

Droid Engineers can get droid scheamtics with faction points from thier recruiters(at least I think I saw those there). I think we should be able to get the faction armor schematics with faction points from the recruiters too.

Not to mention weaponsmiths can make all weapons that can be obtained from a recruiter.

I would love to start cranking out ST armor, especially if I could make it in different colors. Or ever scout and snow trooper armor too!

Faction armor would be a great add for faction armorsmiths to have. Requirements for faction armor being the same as faction armor from the recruiter as well, must be overt and belong to that faction to use. It could be a variation on composite armor to make it attractive to the buyer, imagine rebel and imperial themed composite.

I am sure this has been brought up before on these boards, and I am not an Armorsmith, so I apologize in advance.

This sorta ties into the GCW forum as well.

What is the professions' thought on having factional armor an AS schematic so that it can be comparable to composite, so that Overt Imperials can wear good ST armor? With the new decay affecting armor, the current process of obtaining factional armor(time intensive/costly)and its sub-composite stats make it an unattractive option for most players, which I feel has a detrimental affect on the Star Wars/Empire feeling.

I think this would be a great addition to the armorsmith profession.

We've asked for it...hopefully the developers will agree with you, and us, that this is a great idea.

Only time will tell...and more time...and a little more time...and yet some more time....

Thought I would dig up an old post, really want to see high quality Stormtrooper armor, along with other factional armor.

Hope it rekindles the fire.

Well we certainly need something to get away from everyone looking like clones of each other in the composite sets !!!

And allow non-humans/zabraks to wear the helmets, or its just going to be a waste of time for a large proportion of the populace.
