The Armorsmith FAQ has an excellent loot guide which explains how loot is used in Armor.

Short answer: You will only be able to use 7 of your 100 feathers, and will need other types of enhancers to help hit the cap The remaining 90 or so feathers should be worth more than enough on the market to barter/sell to obtain what you need.

Thanks Fluid One, i read through the guide beforemy post and it was very helpfull indeed. I just went on a mad one hunting the Albitross and wondered if i could skip the rest of them nasties. Your right, ill try and exchange some feathers for some other enhancers.
