hey everyone,
i have a question about a set of armor i have... by far my favorite/treasured set!
first let me explain the situation... i have two toons, a BH (the old toon) and a new toon that i just got to MAS... so im still a newb to the whole armor crafting scene. heres the thing... my BH toon... after quite a while of playing i came across an awesome AS on the Eclipse Server who makes GREAT armor. Hes the only one i buyarmor from... eventually ill make my own but in the meantime...
the thing is he makes a set of factional armor that has 8000+ energy resist, and about 6000 to all other elements (i think kinetic is lower.. but who cares). This armor has saved my butt so many times in a fight with a jedi, its perfect! It is categorized as recon armor... so my question is this...
Ive NEVER seen any other armor with numbers like that... im thinking of changing my temp a bit on that toon, which would take away my cert for recon armor.... IS IT POSSIBLE TO GET THOSE NUMBERS ON BATTLE OR ASSAULT ARMOR?
and if so... does anyone on Eclipse craft armor like that with those numbers or better?
like i said, im a newb to the fine art of crafting armor, the only stuff ive crafted so far has been for practice and ends up as displays for guildmates. i dont know if its only factional armor... or factional recon armor that gets these numbers. If so... ill have to consider not dropping my current temp.
if it is possible... ill buy some from whichever MAS on eclipse says they can do it. Thanks. I know that was long winded.

All recon armor starts with a high energy and reachs 7000 when maxed w/out layers.
Sounds like his layers added 1000+. He should be able to do that with any recon armor.
The other classes of armor have lower energy resists. So, no. They won't reach 8000+

I know a guy on Starsider that has made 8080 energy recon armor. I could be wrong, but if that armorsmith made you battle (assuming he has the excellent resources for battle) it would come out with 1000 less energy and 1000 more kinetic. Assault -2000 energy and +2000 kinetic.

You can only get Recon that high in EN resists.
The max is 8200, and there are quite a few smithson most galaxies hitting 8100+ EN.
