and its a great feeling one of the best feelings i have had in this game for a while
i used 960 segments and with some jiggerling around with resources i got my cores above the 5600 mark
now i have 269 sets of recon armour on the way
i just thought i would share this good news with like minded people as my self and it makes me happy that im becomeing a good armoursmith
Gratz!...I can finally make recon armour without having to resort to using resource kits, but still need them for battle and assault until decent resources spawn...but luckily I still make profit!
Its a nice feeling when you can finally hit the cap. ![]()

i really dont think every noob can craft capped armour unless they have the mother load of good resources
a 2% margin isnt that much you still need good resources
I agree. I just started Armorsmith a month or so ago and even with the 2% bonus my segments are only 908. So I wouldn't worry about "noobs" capping.

Eh, I just recently started Armorsmith within the past month, though I've been collecting resources of the past six months. Before the buff changes, I was able to hit the cap in protection. Now with the buff changes, I still hit the cap but my durations are better, slightly.
Really 2% only makes a difference when you already have great resources to work with. Obviously, the lower the quality of the resource, the lower that 2% bonus is, so in the end, you still need those great resources.
And congrats to the original poster capping your armor. It took me forever to get into Armorsmith because I didn't want to bother with it until I had enough quality resources to cap armor so I can compete with the top guys in terms of protection and condition. It took quite a bit of mining, quite a bit of creature hunting, and quite a bit of money spent, but in the end I'm where I want to be. Hope to have 100 suits of capped recon and battle on my vendors by the end of this week (great Dathomir Fiberplast continues to allude me, and I won't bother making assault and wasting my great resources until I have my hands on some). Oh and this was a one man undertaking. ![]()
