Are you finding it difficult to craft when you want to because of the serious lack of musicians?

Try crafting at 8am GMT. impossible. I get to craft between 6gmt and 11gmt now, seriously reducing the amount of work i can do. Do we think that making Armour is fiddly enough without having a soul destroying 2 hour wait to get noticed by an AFK musician?

SOE please give the Armour buff to the other entertainers aswell and allow us AS's to get the benifit of our sbscription like everyone else.

I dont think its right that i should have to buy an new toon and grind it to musician just so i can produce good stuff. Maybe the Dancer/Musician profession is soooooo boring that SOE really need to do something to make it worthwhile doing ATK.

A fancy graphic here and there aint gonna fix it, and woooo sparklers! Thanks for shafting the AS again SOE. Was it not good enough to add resources to the requirements at CU? thus stalling me from being able to craft after 14months of AS? Was it not enough to significantly increase the amount of components needed to craft the new CU armours? Was is not enough to nerf armour from 90% down to around 60%?

But now as i try to move into health bonus creating armour i need the buff all day. Its just not feasible to have the buff on musicians only.

For what it's worth, I only use the musician buff when making large runs of segments/cores..
When making health-enhanced stuff, I never use buffs as I seemto be getting more failures with it than without - fortunately for me, I have the resources to cap without, and I can understand if you don't and find it frustrating.

Onesuggestion would be to put a post on your server boards asking for names of musicians and then adding those people to your friends-list - that should make it easier to find someone.

Some servers have chat channels to find entertainers through. Alas SOE introduced these buffs just as my entertainer alt was going to be cancelled...I had only loaded her up to steal her lots and veteran rewards but now I need the buffs and she protects my CL1 crafter from big mobs stalking around the harvesters.

Or better yet, give people a reason to play entertainers. Nevermind, that opens a whole can of worms.

You are so right about the difficulty of finding an ATK musician, especially since dancer is so much more popular. First thing I do when I discover a live musician is put them on my friends list!

I don't worry about a buff too much if I'm crafting final appearances, but I do for layers, segements, cores, and special projects (obviously). It is certainly easier to find a musician after 8:00 p.m. Eastern, and I always try to get a buff before I log for the night so it will be there when I come back the next day.

And tip the entertainers, of course, but I'm sure we all do that. 30k is my standard no matter how long the buff is.

Wow, and I thought my tip was huge!I too tip 30K a pop.

An interestingthing that's happening on our server is that the CNet and Theed cantinas are empty, but I freaked out when I went to Eisley! There were sooo many ATK entertainers of all types there. Most of them unguilded newer players trying out the different professions.

This was only 2 nights ago. Nobody in Theed nor CNet, but 10 ATK entertainers were found in Eisley...

Same thing on Scylla. Cnet is empty. Eisly is full of entertainers, but sadly, no musicians. They're too new.

Yeah, the Coronet cantina is now eerily empty on Bloodfin, too. Theed is the hot spot for finding entertainers, though most of them are dancers.

Something to keep in mind: quite a large number of entertainers are both Master Dancers and Master Musicians, and you may need to speak to them individually to find out if they are musicians as well.

There are musicians out there that are ATK...and trust me, if you think we're hard to find, try finding a crafter that's at the keys when you're a musician looking for business (yes, I know that crafters get pestered a ton, hence not wearing titles most of the time)

Here's a link for some tips on how to find a liveentertainer to inspire you. Also, for Pyke, I'm also on Scylla...join the EUS chat channel and ask if anyone's available. Most of the time, one of us is around and would be happy to help

Incidentally, I personally don't go to NPC cantinas unless other live entertainers are about or someone asks for a buff and we're both closest to one. I got tired of the spamtroopers and having nobody to talk to except for macrotainers who never say anything except for things like "TIP ME PLZ I NEED CRDZZZ!". I also urge folks to not wait until you're about to craft to find an entertainer. Look around when you travel or do your harvester runs and, if you see someone run by with an entertainer title or dancer props, ask them if they're also a musician and would be willing to buff in the future. A little planning and networking when you're not crafting really goes a long way. I also have a crafter (shipwright...and I never buff myself with my alt) and constantly look around when I'm bazaar surfing for parts or on a survey run. If I spot an entertainer, I say hi and try to get them on the entertainer chat channel (as well as my friends list). This helps me as a crafter (one spot to check) and also often helps the entertainer find others to dance/play and have fun with.

If you're looking for musicians, if you're on the radiant server....They congregate in the cantina at the MO on Dantooine.

Not just Bria. You can't swing a dead nuna in that place on Scylla.

On Bloodfin, we have a GREAT cantina in Theed. All the Dancers are in coordinated dances and the musicians are in coordinated bands. They are really fun to watch and a good example of what entertainers can and were meant to be. Hehe, I've dropped 100k on them before because of all their hard work!

I have to admit, I really enjoy going to see what they are doing that day. There is a huge group of them and I can get buffs day or night. Very nice.

but...i love swinging dead nunas...i guess i better stick to starsider, scylla doesn't sound like my kind of place

On Starsider, you can unusally find an ATK musician in the eisley cantina. I also have a guildmate who is a master musician, so she can help me too. Although she won't let me tip her. If I get persitant, she'd probably setup a tipping macro and tip me back every credit 1 at a time.

30k, huh? I usually pay 10k, but I think I'll start paying more.
