Ok i cant seem too put the feathers into the final combine on armour? am i doing something wrong?

You need to have done the RIS quest. This lets you learn a schematic called the feathered armor enhancer or something like that

You use the feather to make a feathered armor enhancer and then you put this in the correctfinal assembly slot.
