Thread: mabari belts
HOWEVER - i am having severe problems with my innate armor not working, and i think it is tied to the mabari belt.
i notice that in fights where im wearing the belt, i get hit far harder than not.
also, when i am meditating and changing out gear, i can put on the ubese shirt and bando without problem. but if i attempt to equip the mabari belt when meditating, i get the "cannot transfer armorwhile meditating" message.
so i wrote to a csr, and he says that it is supposed to be classified as clothing but they have been receiving a few reports where it is actually bugged and still may be registering as armor, just fyi.
beyond that, my innate armor seems to start and stop functioning randomly.. i can't figure out how to get it to jsut stay put. i ended up jsut taking off my ubese bando and shirt too, and dressing in items i knew to be pure and always clothing classified, but i still seem to be having issues.
very sad, as the bando, shirt, and mabari belt all have polearm mods in them.. i guess i could switch to battle armor and wear those when using pikes.. but meh. using armor of any kind seems to muck with the innate armor.

ok well jene as an AS i can tell u this without confusing u (again)
ubese shirts were changed pre-cu to were they only accept ca's which made them into clothing. post CU mabari belts were made to clothing but all the belts made pre-cu were stuck as armor
so technicly speaking, u are wearing armor to an extent. id suggest puttin max socket of speed and accuracy tapes in it and when the fix comes out for it it will be modded already and clothing (kinda sad that us AS make them tho but o well)
oh i see. thats a new tidbit i had not heard, tis true the belt i have is very much pre-nerf.
glad to know i'm not crazy after all

You can change your combat chat to verbose under options and that will tell you if and how much your innate armor is working per hit. I tested mine with a friend and mine always worked with mabari belt, ubese shirt, and bandolier. It worked the same with and without. I am TKM/Doc and I didnt have any kind of armor at all in my inventory. My friend is Master Swords/TKM/Master Brawler and if she used any kind of armor, even gloves or boots with no stats her innate armor would not work. When she took it off sometimes it was a while before her innnate armor would start working again. The only solution I can think of for now is to monitor your combat log to make sure your innate armor is working and send in a /bug everytime it does not.
In our test we dueled each other so we could take it one hit at a time, think about things, and make changes if we needed to.
