Thread: Rancor Hide?

Today i was out killing ancient rancor with a few friends,and when i went to loot i looted 8 individual containers with 1 in each,saying rancor hide. It says its some sort of armor enhancment. how do i use these and what do they do?

Rancor hide can be slapped onto any type of segemnt of armor. It boosts the stats by what's listed in the description.
You need one hide piece per segment, so armor that requires multiple segments will require multiple scales for that one piece (one extra scale will be wasted to make a factory schematic)

Is this dropping? I have killed between 50-75 Rancors and all I have looted was one Bone armor piece and 1 set of battle cores. Is this bugged at the moment or do I need to kill specific rancors for them to drop?

Hmm, I'm not sure. I had a few guildmembers hunting Rancors a few days ago and they returned with a bunch of Rancor hides with +6 health. Maybe they killed them all?

On Radient server, loot drop is bugged on everything unless you need a broken datapad or useless bone armor parts. Woolmander is the only creature I seen dropping loot properly. Klik's have spurts on loot drop. early in day you will get loot.. later in day you have to kill 20+ for loot. Krayts.. lol, I don't even want to go there. Rancor, Bad luck with them.. killed hordes and walk away with 0 stats bone armor parts and 2 adv battle cores. Sharnaff I had respectable luck with. NS is a nightmare for shards or frags. Let me know if anyone want me to test other NPC/Creatures for them on loot drop.

It seems to be quite a rare drop in my experience. I have had better luck getting kimo scales (normal ones) from kimgolias on lok. never looted a set with less than 10 in a stack and less than +9 bonus. Kimo scales are also a assault armor segment enhancer.
