Nothing is absolutely NEEDED for the enhancers or cartridge. They are optional components. The biomech thingie is not in game yet. The appearance enhancers are the interwoven appearance enhancer (dropped by the acklay in the Geo caves), and the feathered appearance enhancer can be made from a peko peko albatross feather by a smith who has completed the RIS quest.
