Thread: How low can YOU get encumberance on a RIS Helm?

Pretty much as the title states I'm trying to find out what's thelowest encumberance value people have managed to get with a RIS helmet. I've been talking with a few armorsmiths on my server about this, but I wanted to post here to get a wider range of opinions. I don't really care about protection values. Basically I want to get a helmet made with encumberance as low as possible so that I can wear the helmet at all times without having to take a big hit to my mind secondaries.

Thus far what I seem to be hearing is that an Ackley schematic along with NS layers and NS armor shards would be the best way to go. Does anyone have any differing suggestions? What kinds of values would you recommend I look for on the shards/layers to get the mind encumberance as close to 0 as possible?

If this question has been asked elsewhere I apologize. I tried to read through all of the RIS postings I could find, but I didn't see one on this topic. If there is such a post I would appreciate it if someone can point me in the right direction.

Thanks!

using RIS layers and some good night sister shards and you could get it down to0 on all but mindif you had really good resources, and the mind usually in the lower 100's and even further. Really depends on how good of shards you use and how good of RIS layers. But it's quite possible to make it really really light.

The lowest encumbrance helmet I've made was 0/0/139 unsliced. That was using very nice "exceptional" shards (like -100/-80/-60), but also a couple of crafted kinetic layers. If all you cared about was encumbrance, you could swap out those crafted layers for Nightsister or good RIS layers to drop about 25 points off of mind encumbrance, and swap out the yellow cube I used fora red cube todrop another 10 points or so. Of course you could also focus on OQ and MA in the resources, and not worry about SR.

My guess is about 0/0/100 unsliced, realistically speaking.

Just for refrence, mine is 23/0/176 using purly NS layers. No red cubes or shards.

I made a 78 kin, 13 stun, 76 base helm with 0/0/88 enc after an enc slice

Used 2 10% layers, one of my best stun layers, a 7% yellow cube, and an exceptional shard
