So I just started crafting again these days, and while I was stocking my vendor with full suits, someone came in, bought a few, and then told me that no one uses full suits any more because you rarely get hit anywhere except for head, chest, gloves, or pants.
So I thought I would turn to the AS forum, sinceit helped me get started so long ago.
Is it true that theres not really any point to crafting full suits? Or is that just a belief that some people have. If so would be nice, because I could make a lot more chest, helms, etc.
Anyway just looking for some info on the subject.

There was, until recently, a reverse armour hole - in that you could not wear the arm pieces and pants, and any damage these areas suffered was instead dealt to either the hands, feet, or chest.
Now, I'm not sure if this is still the case any more - as I seem to remember hearing something to the effect that the devs had "fixed" this. In any case, even if they haven't I'd still be making full suits just in case - indeed I never actually stopped making full suits, it more happened that people just didn't buy the arm pieces I had up.
At any rate, if you feel the urge to do so there's nothing wrong with stocking "Minimalist Suits" - but I've always felt that it's just plain good practice to offer (and indeed wear) the full set.

I fair the same about a fix
its hurting production vs sales rates a part much more then bevore selling 1/3 more 4part suits then 1 months ago now
I was making a 450 Kin Tank suits production run (750chest 600 gloves 600 boots 550 helmets rest 450) but half whay production I need to make another 250 extra chests and change the 450 full suits to 300 and use the extra for boots gloves and helmets
I hope they Fix it any time soon

So basicly with those 4 armorpieces on I ALWAYS get hit on those parts like I'm wearing full armor?
I was under the impression these 4-piece armors stopped all dmg (till armor rating ofcourse) dmg to those 4 pieces and like half if hit somewhere else. Anybody know for sure what it does?

damage on your leggs go to the boots and damage to the arms go to the gloves
thats whay there waring down lot faster then they normal do
and it doesn't work for Trandosians and wookys

Both myself and a friend have tested this...interesting conclusions.
If you wear 4 piece suits, we've found, at least in our cases, that it protects equally as well, HOWEVER, you're far more succeptable to taking wounds to secondary stats. We tested it like this:
One evening, we go hunt Nightsisters. Both of us are Master swordsmen, so it's a good workout. We wear full armor, record the wounds after a full buff session (3.5 hours.) Do this for several nights, take an average.
Next few nights, we do the same only in 4 piece suits. On the average, we found there were significantly more wounds to secondaries than with full suits. Not to mention the pieces decay much faster too.
So ultimately, it's up to the buyers, as always, to choose. I think, cost effectively, and I tell my buyers this, It's cheaper in the long run for them to buy full suits. I even "finance" suits to them, if I really trust the player.

since some armor hole repair i've experimented.
i've found you still dont need the arm pieces, just gloves, but you must wear boots and pants. so 5 piece suits seem to be the thing now. chest, helm, boots, pants, gloves.

the reason you have more wounds to you when wearing a 4piece suit is because you can take more wounds, wounds are only what you can have after hams(before buffs) - encumberence is the maximum wounds, if your wearing a heavy ham suit chances are your secondaries will never recieve wounds.
