4% base and 5% special resist with good resources in the segment crafting can give you 80 80 70 .

the best way to experiment on comp is to make gloves, because you don't need factory schematics. Make a few layers, make an advanced segment. Then make some gloves. Don't like the stats? Adjust them. Best way to start is by making unlayered gloves, and then you have a rough guess for what layer stats you need to hit whatever resists you want.

Im a 10pt AS and get 80/80/70 with no foods or amazing success. Basically when I make the Kinetic Layer I want that base eff to get 9 of my pts. then I put the last pt in resistance or whatever. Basically I experiment that middle bar...im not on my AS to give you the actual name. When I make my advanced armor segments I try to get 33%/11%/23% or very close to that, but even if your kinetic falls to 18%ish...if you exp the composite in the middle bar you should still get80/80/70 out of it. Now, I have had an amazing succes and got my base to 71%. But usually I shoot for 70%. Hope this helps you some.
To summarize....
Get the best resource you can. I try for OQ 900+ and SR 900+ or highest i can get.
Experiment that middle bar on most of your items. If you get amazing success, you might exp another bar.
When making the composite piece, exp 9pts to the middle bar....and the last pt to the 3rd bar at bottom. If you get great success the whole time (which i usually do) you should end up with 80/80/70 composite armor.
