it will depend on what your other componets are, ie layers, cubes or shards

The type of armor you will get will be RIS.
/sarcasm off

As with any armor, it will depend a lot on the quality of the resources the smith is using, and if he has 12 experimentation points or not. We can't give you a "you will get 55% base, 60% kinetic" answer. All you can do is use the best layers you can find.

To add a little more to this...most experienced RIS smiths can tell you approximately what they can make without interwoven and enhancers. Then all you have to do is add in your enhancers and another layer and you have a good idea what can be made. !2 points matters ALOT on RIS as well.

For example...

With almost all the best RIS resources on Lowca using crafted stun layers maxed for stun (13 stun 3 base) I can make a basic RIS helmet with 80 kinetic, 27 stun, and 46 base. That's with great success experiments the whole way through.

Add in another layer via the interwoven schematic and you get 80 kin, 40 stun, 50 base. Add say a 6% janta hide for 56 base, and a 5% cube for 61 base...not bad. When making your armor, you can always trade some kinetic experimentation for extra base resists. With 9% Rancor Hide and a 5% cube made a helmet with 65% kinetic, 40 stun, and 77% base. Stun layers add a resist to RIS at the cost of extra encumbrance and either base or kinetic resist. Kinetic layers are slightly easier on encumbrance and it takes alot less base enhancers to get to 80 kin/80 base. Nightsister layers are great because they add no encumbrance and tons to base if you get good ones.

Hope this helps, and just keep in mind that 12 points does matter on RIS, it doesn't just add a little condition or lower encumbrance by a few points...12 point RIS has higher resists.
