Hey all, i was wondering if its possible to put an enhancement in tantel armor. As i recall tantel has everything in the base but LS right? If exceptional/legendary NS layers dropped on flurry i would think about getting a tantel piece made for me. Please post your thoughts

all armor has special enhancements so yes you can put things into tantel. But you cannot layer it, so keep that in mind (ie: nightsister layers won't work but krayte scales or janta hides will)

Umm, no. Tantel Segments accept one layer and one segment enhancement.

But be aware that Tantel is bugged, and using any layer with a special protection other than energy will lock in that damage type at the layer level (ie, if you use a 4% kinetic layer on Tantel, the final piece will come out with 4% kinetic special protection).

Nightsister layers will work by adding to the base protection (which at this time includes stun). Energy layers will work by adding to both the base effectiveness and energy special protection. So, if you're particularly interested in making high-base Tantel armor, your best bet is to use Janta Hides and Nightsister Layers. You could also use Rancor Hides, but you'd be locking in Heat and Cold at 4% (or whatever the hide's stats have them at).

Yeah, only Mabari, Chitin, andKashyyykian Ceremonialhave no layered variants. Heck, you can even make layered Bone Armor if you use an Interwoven Bone Armor schematic (Acklay loot).

I would suspect about 30% base resists unsliced, without using any loot like Nightsister Layers, Janta Hides, or Rancor Hides.

26% base is pretty good.

Using Janta hides I made a 29% chest and boots. With an effectiveness slice I think 40% is possible. Now with exceptional or legendary NS layers Tantel could get crazy. Sliced it could have a base of 80 or even 90% to everything. Its possible. Never been done to my knowledge and you'd have to find 30% or greater NS layers which would have to be one of the rarest drops in the game. But if you did find them it'd be worth it.
