New mast. armorsmith here. Having difficulty getting kinetic up but may be due to not finding the best resources. Have traveled all over and cant seem to find better than average resources

The hides on bazaar stink in quality but with high prices . Is it just me having bad luck? New to this profession so not rich by any means lol. My guild helps with hides but their quality not the best either. Anyhoo still surv for the best minerals etc I can find but definately getting discouraged .

They are out there. You just have to wait for the right shifts. For hides if your guildies are hunting them for you have them look on different planets to see where the highest OQ hides are and then have them hunt there for those hides. The rest of the resources you just have to hope they shift soon and are what you are looking for.

In my experience Hides are the Bane of our Profession , Those and + Armor experimentation and + Armor assembly tapes. Resources just take time to gather resources and wait on shifts, hides will be a struggle. Look to your guild for help with them.

I hit Invest 3 a few days ago and I have yet to bag my first kill. I'm currently 0/4. I'm wondering how many targets it took you all to get your first kill. I have no intention of giving up and I was only killed by 2 of the 4 jedi that I hunted. Of the other 2,the firstfeigned death and the other banned me from the city before i could get a shot off. Just trying to get an idea of what a realistic kill ratio should be. Thanks!

I'm 0/6, so I feel your pain. But I learn a little bit more each time. Keep plugging away. That's what I'm doing.

Now, the AFK Jedi in the houses is another matter . . .

Don't give up!!! It takes a lot of work and a lot of attempts in many cases to bag a kill. In a lot of cases, it comes down more to where you encounter your target, how patient you are, and how crafty you are, as opposed to the brute force attacks most people think you need to do. I've found I"m most successful when I trail my target in many cases and try to catch them at bad times, which is almost a necessity if you are soloing.

Don't forget about the bomb droids! Hard to use effectively, but the make a huge difference if you can pull it off (again, this requires good timing).

Keep at it...I've gotten 3 kills in the past 2 days, using what would probably be considered a pretty mediocre template (BH 4044, Pistol 0040, Commando 3030)!!!

any begin is difficult , i got lucky first mark was first kill (knight btw)

but there have been a lot that whooped me silly (gotta hate them CM friendsor warcry goons )

point is that you win some you lose some

just take the time to get a feeling of wich tactics you prefer

there will be times that you win but also times that you will lose ,

wether fair or not doesnt matter

this was you're 4th mission , you will have plenty more chances

cuz one thing is for sure ........

you'll never see a unemployed BH

Think I went 0/4 or at least 0/3 at first now I've killed far more than have got away. It just takes practice. First few attempts I had so much adrenaline pumping my hands were shaking. Once you get some experience and learn to relax and think clearly it gets a lot easier.

Think aboutthings thatwent wrong during the fight, and brainstorm ways to fix them. I will say this, jedi and BH alike, macros are your friend. When you got banned from the city.......it is a bad idea to stand around in a city that your mark belongs to. If you come into our town and we've never seen you before, our faction or not your probably going to get banned, same for 95% of the cities on our server.

Also like they said above, you have to stay calm and think. First thing I do when attacked bya BH is say to myself out loud "Calm down and think." I know I'm a nerd, don't rub it in.

Thanks for the words of encouragement guys, I really appreciate it. And you are right, I'm so giddy about getting the kill I can hardly move the mouse in a straight line! LOL

Someone mentioned the use of macros. Could you elaborate on that a bit? I have dabbled with some macros but they can get pretty confussing, especially for a new player such as myself. Thanks!

I've been on 4 Jedi missions..

The first Jedi I attacked I was at 3-2-2-4... He was a high level Padawan. Surprisingly, with my crappy skills I knocked his health nearly halfway down. (I have a very good LLC cannon, 1020 Max and 2.2 speed) He feign deathed and I got pisssed and decided to try again in a few minutes.. His buddies came up to me and warned me to back off, but I paid them no mind and went after the Jedi again when he got up. I got ganked by all three. Needless to say, it wasn't wise.. However, it was my first Jedi hunt and I was anticipating a kill.

Second time I was a 3-3-3-4.... He was a Master Surgeon so kept healing himself with stims, which negated the use of waiting for him running out of Force Powers. Anyhow, he probably ran out of stims because he took off with Force Run.. Like an idiot, I chased him and found myself in the middle of his gank squad.. Ouch.

Third time I waited until I was a 3-3-4-4, and picked up Pistols 0012... I trailed the Jedi to his mission from time.. Finally, he was alone.. I opened up with Fire KD, which was a success first time out.. While he was on the ground I set him a Torso Shot, Bleeding and Eye Shot.. Health half way down I ran up to him with an LLC, and two shots later he was dead... I wasn't even a Master yet, and as far as BH standards go I had a crappy template, and took out a 50k Jedi without even a fight...

Now I'm Master Bounty Hunter with Pistoleer 0023, about to pick up some Carbineer, and I'm going to try another mission, just to see how that goes.. So it's possible. It seems that any Jedi 30k -100 aren't too bad to solo if they are alone.

I started out 0/2 finished up 3/5 in my first/second week of Inv III.

Hang in there expect to die in the beginning a bit till you get the hang of it.

If BH was easy Jedi would be doing it
