I have a bit of a problem. I'll spare the horror story, but just know that I'm almost finished getting my SECOND 12pt suit together. Lost my old one to a bug

Heres the deal of where I'm at

Basiclly it boils down to this right now. I'm +18 exp. total.

I have a pair of pants with +1 to exp, assembly and 'repair'. No sockets left. Its not a big deal if I pitch those pants.

I also have shoes with the same deal, but 1 open socket.

Problem is however, I have tusken boots with +6 assembly, so I dont really use the shoes with the exp mod right now. Without the shoes, and wearing the tusken boots instead, I'm at +26 Assembly and +17 exp. Thats why my goal was a +4 CA and just stick em in a new set of pants. That would make it +20 exp +25 Assembly.

Idealy I'd like to wait for a +4 tape to pop up, but that could take forever.

That being said, heres my question. I have the chance at buying a pair of pants with +3 Exp in them. If I buy those pants, and use the shoes I have, that will be +20 exp but only +19 assembly. SO, do you think its possible that if I were to use the tusken boots w/+6 assembly during the assembly stage, then SWITCH the boots to the shoes at the stage where you choose Create/Experiment/Schematic, would the loss of the assembly make any difference during experimentation.

Basiclly, do the assembly mods make any difference during experimenting. And would switching clothing during crafting work.

Geeting to +12 is more important than assembly as it stands now.

Buy the pants and use the shoes until the +4 exp comes up, then revert to the new pants and assembly boots.

You will likely not lose on your investment in the +3 pants when you resell them with the shoes you no longer need.
