Thread: Having a little trouble with Low HAM Kinetic Comp

I am currently attempting 80% Kinetic, with base in the low 60's, and trying to get the total HAM for the suit close to 500 as possible. I am using 2 kinetic layers that have 79% in the top line and 60% in the bottom. I am trying to push the top line further, but I can't get an amazing on it. Though i have seen up to a 6% swing with just all great successes.

All my test gloves keep coming out at 79% kinetic. Without getting into the specifics of what resources are used, I just wanted to see if this is the same formula that others have used with any success to make this type of armor. It seems if I add the 3rd layer the HAM gets bumped up too high. Thanks for any input.

I normally use 1/1/1 2%base 7%kin to get my low encumbrance sets. Usually get 80kin 71ele 61base can't remember the exact stats

Here is my formula forlow basebase, low enc and 80 kinetic. I always use 3 layers.

Max the encumberance experimentation, put the rest in special resistance. This should result in a 3/3/3 ham, 2% base, 7-8% kinetic layer. Its important to get the 2% base on the initial combine. With this setup, I actually only need 6% kinetic on the layers I think. But putting a last point into base for armor does nothing.

Segments, raise base all the way, dump rest in encumberance. I cant remember the stats here.

Im guessing with only 2 layers, you wont be able to experiment as much with enc on thelayers (which is where you REALLY gain) and your armor actually will end up worse than with 3 layers....not done the exact math though.

1/1/1 layers....nice Anywho, guess the key is 2 base and 7 kinetic layers....pending on what ulayerd base res you can get, but im guessing most make high 50's (think I can do 59% with my uber bag unlayered)

I have been trying the exact same thing of late.... but I can't get the HAM down as far as some see to be able to (I think that is partly because I can only seem to make 2/2/2 layers )

But one thing I have managed, that I think is quite cool, is the following.

Everything into HAM on the layers, then the rest into base.... (making sure I get only amazings) I end up with 4% kin, 3% base 2/2/2 layers...

Then on segments and final everything into base, then HAM.

I ended up with 67% base, 80% kin and a HAM of 530/480/550 ish...... I tried maxing special on the layers instead, and using more points in the final on HAM, but it did not shift the HAM much lower (I think I reduced it to the tune of 20 points on each - not really worth the loss of % base I had.)

I think I will produce a run of the 67% base stuf.... but if only I could get 1/1/1 kin layers

To get the 1/1/1 layer i have to put 9 points into the encumbrance(need to get at least one amazing here)then need 3pts to get the special up to 7.

Layer pic:

Then I max the base line on the segment and what ever i have left I put in the encumbrance. On the final assembly then I max the base again which gets me to 79%kin then the points left I put into encumbrance again to get the 80%kin. I always have a small problem with the chest pieces (get 79% instead of 80%) but playing around with the resists normally fixes that.

Very nice!

3 base and 4 kinetic on layers will be the same stats as 2 base and 7 kinetic when combining the 3 layers (as base values stack and special res doesnt) but its getting all them darn amazings....takes me ages and after 18 months...my patience is running out a bit for "basic" armor like this.

Ill do it for the Quad 80% as it only needs one amazing success to pull of with 12 points and my resrouces.
