Going to have 6 pieces of R.I.S made..I have a set of 8 nice layers. I was wonder if R.I.S is the same as say Composite where the helmet might only need one layer, while the other pieces might required 2-4 (or so)? Or is it 1 for each piece (how I interpreted it from a web-site I read). Thanks to any help in advanced.

For RIS it is one segment per piece. You might still need to use up one for a schematic if you are making interwoven RIS segments.

I never make schematics from the Interwoven segments because good layers cost more then schematics, also most of the time I use special shards for that part.... helmet with low mind shards chest with low Health shards and pants with Low action shards ..... rest with even shard in all stats

give a ballance to your suit and can go to extreem Low Enc like 120/50/100 like my personal suit but wel but NS loot and Geo loot is gona cost more that the GDK scales alone on that lvl

but for one Armor piece you can use 2 or 3 NS Layers depending where you wanna go and what Resouses the maker uses
Also there is no need of more segments like in composite so one segment can be uses for one piece no matter what piece
