I hear and read a lot about exp tapes but are the assembly tapes worth getting as well?

Yep, just don't pay as much for them as you do for experiment.

not worth nearly as much as exp tapes. they will aid you in gettin more amazing sucesses etc etc.. less chance of crit failures
