Hello,
I have really been struggling. For almost a year now I have been a Master Armorsmith, have never done anything else since beginning this game in July of 2003. I have excellent resources but I cant seem to get the high base/ low ham armor.
The best I can make is 80% Kin/62% Base..chestplate HAM is 248, or 80% Kin/7% Stun/66% Base (High HAM). I use three kinetic layers..usually 2% Base and 6% Kinetic.....what am I missing. I see alot of 80% Kin/66% Base low ham adv comp on my server..what am I missing? I would be most appreciative for any guidance. Thank you.

post the % experimentd on the layers and the stats on your final combine materials

If you experiment more into your base on yourlayers and less into your kinetic you should get your base resists up there. Max out your base effect line on the layers and dumping the rest into ham would drop a few ham points off the final product.

Like the previous guys said, dont experiment on kinetic on your layers. You only need 4% to reach 80% on the final product so anything above that will be a waste.
Max out the base instead and put any leftover points into ham and check what stats you get then.

Thank you guys for the feedback...I do appreciate it. Here are my % with the layers and the segments.
For the 80% Kin and 61-62% Base (248 HAM on Chest) I did: Layers: 2% Base/ 6% Kin (5 HAM) 800 Integrity
Segments: Base:27%/ Integrity 2820/ HAM 25 25 27/ 8% Elec/ 19% Kin
Even when plowing all my exp pts into base I get gloves that are 80% Kin/69% Base but 82 HAM.
Should I be using duralloy steel or Alum in the kin layers? I have been using super high quality Duralloy Steel.
Thank you again

I'm going to assume you want it as light as possible and still hit 80% kinetic. Most of this is done at the layer stage.
1 - See how light you can get the layer. Optimum would be 1/1/1.
2 - Seg - Max base and put the rest in durability
3 - Final - Max base and put the rest in durability.
You'll now know how much you need to increase the kinetic on the layer stage to hit 80% kinetic. It's easier to raise kinetic by increasing the special at the layer stage. One experimentation point will raise it 1-2% on one layer.
I'm not familiar with the resources on your server. Aluminum usually has better MA than the steels.
If you only have 10 points, you're not going to be able to match the 12 point smiths on this. You'll probably be able to get a light suit, but have nothing left to increase the base.
