Thread: need help/info on stun segs i can't seem to get 13%......HELP!

hi first off i will list the resources im using im on eclipse and i have the best scilicastic ore there is currently.
sili ore 974oq 258sr
vertex 710oq 955sr
metal 935oq 972sr
on the gemstone the vert i have not seen any better anywhere and i have looked i bought a 1k sr 5k brick to see if the sr would get me the 13 but it didnt.... the metal is really good too for eclipse only metal i know of i have been an armorsmith for about a month it is 960's on both stats and i have never personally seen it just heard about it from another smith... he said i should be pulling 13's with what i have and i cant... i did a glove run and got 38% stun so i know im almost 13 but to get to 40.... basically im wondering what im doing wrong im dumping all into the bottom to boost stun effectiveness i am a 12 pointer and i run out of boxes to keep boosting it. any info would be great. i think it is my metal but like i said its good stuff.... really confused please help thanks. Looks like your weak link is the vertex. I hit 13s(40 stun total)with similar stuff but the oq/sr on my vertex is at least 150pts higher.

Im no 12 pointer, but the way I get 14%plates for ubese is byexp all the points that show in the bottom bar all at once. If I dont get an amazing there, I start over.

Yah your vertex is definately killing you . Your Siliclastic ore is not that bad and your metal is very good.

I would agree on it being the vertex that lets you down.
I hit 13% with
OQ 995 SR 905 Vertex.
OQ 963 SR 276 Crism
OQ 998 SR 970 Iron
Almost run out of my iron but have a few hundred thousand of the other two around. My Next best iron is OQ 917 SR 994. I should try and see if I can still get 40% with that too..

hmmm... I get 11% with really good metal (998OQ 975SR)and vertex (OQ and SR both over 950... exact numbers escape me at the moment)and sili ore thats 133OQ 269SR (something like that). That gets35% stun 63% Base armor. I'm only a 10pt AS though.
There hasn't been a better spawn of sili ore since I've been an AS though and I mine all of my own stuff. I am using the second worse spawn of it on my server.
But just by looking at your materials and considering that 40% is top end... the vertex is definitelythat getting you. See if you can borrow enough better vertex from someone to make a pair of gloves and see how that works out for ya.

Have you done what Adroit said? Experiment until you get amazing all in one shot? Your vertex is not the problem because crafting is also weighted on the number of resources you use. And if I remember right you only use 10 units of vertex per layer which should not affect the out come by a whole 2%.
