If you provided everything, I would do it for free. Would like to see how it turns out. Then again, you have to figure the smith that is making RIS prob already has all the best reousrces for it.

it really depends on the smith or what you want to put into the ris.
gurk hides - easy to get
woolmander bones - easy but alot of camping time
gdk scale - super rare loot
interwoven ris schematic - rare loot
NS layers - lower ones are easy to find, the high % are just super rare
NS Shards - again like layers
Yellow cubes - not to hard to get, but high % ones are rare
it all depends on what kind of stats you want on your ris, high end NS layers, shards and cubes are just as hard to get as the gdk scales.
also it takes time to put together a suit by hand. if you run your segments in a factory, that will save alot of time. however you will need large stacks of gurk hides, wooly bones, layers, shards, cubes, etc.
also remember to use your assembly and expermentation food. it don't take much to fill up your stomach after a few pieces or segments. As you want to use assembly food on every piece and expermentation each time you put in points to experment to get the best stats.down time to wait for your stomach to go down.
good ris takes alot of time.

It's strange, I get more offers for GDK scales than bone fragments.

I know that all the loot drops for RIS are hard to come by, and the material resources aren'ta walk in the park either. How much do you think a RIS certified smith would charge to craft a piece of RIS armor if the customer were to supply ALL of the required resources and components?

I have a feeling some would still charge a lot, I however had someone do that for me (resources and components and let me keep left overs) and I did it for free.

If someone just wants a helmet or a chest plate done, I normally don't charge anything if they bring the components. It's when people come to me wanting an entire suit made that I start to get reluctant to make it and give them the "FU" price.

How much is that?

The "FU" price? It's generally not credits. It's usually a set of components for myself for every two or three piece I make for them.
With a full suit I'm going to crit fail on experimentation at least once if I don't use bespin port (even with +25 armor exp and +10 force exp). That drags the creation out by a ton - the last full suit I made was a six hour affair (of course I was watching a movie or something while my stomach cleared).

I haven't been chargingfor RIS assemblies, as long asthe necessary components are provided. All I ask, is for a /tip (any amount, really) if they're satisfied with their armor.
