Radiant has not had this turn yet, and so I ask these questions to clear up some misunderstandings, confusions, and other assorted insanities on armor, either for myself, or for others.

The questions I pose is this:

When your armor was converted over to the new system - did your current armor give you the option to change it to whatever type you want (like making comp recon, or other out of the ordinary things)?

If not, did it give you the option to break the armor (aside from the epic armors RIS and Mandolorian) down into a segment? If so, can a non-Armorsmith make new armor they can use out of this? Or do they need an armorsmith to make their new armor?

Believe me, I know some of these questions are mind-numbing in light of what we know, but these are actual reasons I have been given by people as to why they will not buy any more armor, and are clinging to their current composite.

So be a good sport, and answer the questions honestly, so that either I or my customers can stand corrected.

you can change it all but it will change the skin too, and as far as i know only RIS and mando can be broken down. I know for sure comp and ubese cannot.

I was able to refit a pair of composite boots. It was an option on the radial menu. When I chose it, a box came up asking what type of armor I would like to convert it too, i.e. battle, assault, recon. I chose battle (I think), then another box popped up and let me choose from padded or bone armor.

The boots converted to padded armor (no stats) with a bluish color (no option was presented to adjust its color).

I was going to test some more with different armor pieces but ran out of time

Yeah I did some refitting, too. Looks like as reported, base resists are the single important factor in armor conversion. Nothing like seeing my Zero HAM gloves and super-low Ham boots turn in to garbage. From the radial menu on a piece of armor, you select "refit" and confirm. From there you select the type of armor (recon, battle, assault) and then subset Tantel/Ubese etc. etc...) New armor was created in the default colors.

Wow this sounds like an awful lot of work for someone that say has 1000 pieces of armor. Couldnt they come up with a beter system.. or can I just continue to sell my comp armor indefinatly and let the customer convert it?

Does the name change on the item when it is converted? I wondering cause if I change something that is named "Composite Chest" to say Bone Armor it will be confusing for the customer if it retain the name composite
