Thread: Does anybody plan on using layers ?

Unfortunately I never made it to Test Center, but from the posts here ive read it seems layers (including primus now) are a huge waste of time, energy and resources. Are any of the TC smiths planning on using layers in their armor after what they saw on TC ?

I don't think I will have any layered armor on vendor but for special orders perhaps.

layers are simply a HUGE waste for the cost to benefit ratio.

In the long run Idont care for cost or time. I am doing armorto allways craft the best possible result. Layers are a must for me. I will just do quad-layered segments. I also plan to sell Armour Cores as bulk to support frontend armorsmiths with high end Cores. This iis for those ASwho have more fun customising the perfect appearance for the customer instead of managing a 40+ factory park.

Making the best armor possible has always been a big reason for me making armor.
But that will change come the CU. I will not be using layers unless someone pays me through the nose, or it's a really good friend. I can't afford those massive costs.

I'll pretty much have some layered and unlayered armor. I've allready asked around at least among my guildmates. And they were all for paying what ever it costs to get that tiny boost. Course they get it cheaper than if I sold to a non guildie. But still. Even speaking theoretically they were quite willing to pay an extra 100K or so if it was actually better (layered)armor.
So no doubt there will be -some- market for layered armor. Afterall even when it was found that generally speaking you only needed a minisuit to fight with effectively. Alot of people wanted full suits.

I intend to only layer (and enhance!) faction armors. Faction armor of the highest quality will be in demand from all the high-end pvpers.... Just hope my current stockpile of enhancers converts over.... even if 75% of them will end up being used in bracers/biceps. (3:bicep, 7:helm/pants, 11(!!):chest)
