Thread: Just sitting around waiting to make my first RIS piece

Bummer. I've got all the loot components, an interwoven RIS schematic, 7% Janta hides, my lower-HAM 4% base / 4% kinetic layers, a bunch of yellow cubes and the best RIS resources to spawn in my server EXCEPT Yavin animal bones. Current spawn is crap, and no one seems to have any good one for sale. Now I get to wait out a decent spawn of bone. Back to killing GDK's I guess.

Just venting.

Dude, find some better layers. With those janta hides and some 8% or higher NS layers, you could easily make an80% base 80% kinetic.

To ensure yourself of 80% kinetic 80% base, you will need to have about 40% addition to base % between your layers, cube, and special.

Get a hold of me tonight. I will give you some of my 100% base layers.

Will do Elood, thanks!

As far as needing an additional 40% off of layers + enhancers, I don't think it will be that much. The boots I made were around 40% base without any layers or segment enhancers. I also made them without using my +10 experimentation clothing, so I'd have another two points between the segment and the final combine.

Also, two of my resources are now much, much better. The chalron (sp?) ore I used was around 40 (yes, forty) OQ, the stuff I have now is 1000 OQ with a slightly higher SR than the old stuff. The rori wooly I used for my boots was also in the low double digits, and the stuff I've since aquired isin the high 900's onOQ with slightly higher SR than the old stuff.

I'm also hoping that the interwoven schematic has higher inherent resists than the regular segment schematic, something like the difference between regular and advanced segments for normal armor.

Anywho, it's all armchair armorsmithing until some nice Yavin bone comes along...

Luckily when the Interwoven Schematics came out we had a decent spawn of Yavin Bone on Bloodfin. Haven't see any better yet, so thats what I've been using

RIS is a painfully hard armor to make, looks sorta like samari armor.

Dont wait too long. Even with bad Yavin Animal Bone (OQ+SR/2=525) I get 61% unlayered RIS ifmax-out Quality while experimenting. So 3 layers with 4% base plus a 7% yellow cube already hits 80% base. Maybe you should rethink using the Janta hideit could be atotal waste.

Well all I'm saying is 40% base additives will ensure you your 80/80, not that it can't be done with less.

These are my boots

http://www.imagedump.com/index.cgi?pick=get&tp=50627&poll_id=0&warned=y

They are made with the best RIS resource on our sever using the Interwoven schematic. Even our Yavin animal bones have good stats (I believe 1800+ for OQ+SR).

These were made with 31% worth of NS layers, and a 5% yellow power cube (I used very good NS shards in special slot).

Tuanga would have to verify, but I believe he had an amazing success on the kinetic experimentation.

Therefore if 36% makes 77/80, I am assuming 40% additives could end up with 80/80 (you might not get an amazing success).

Ok, I'm not a newb, but apparently I'm out of the loop. Are the kimo scales dropping again?
