Thread: A request of the Armorsmiths

I may be going out on a limb here but I have a request to make of the crafters in our community and as such I am posting this message or a version of it to all crafting boards.

As many of you may know the time is apparently coming around for our top 5 issues to be compiled. I'd really like to see all crafters put storage on one of those top 5.

As it is we stockpile enough houses worth of resources to sink small countries, and frankly it shouldn't be that way in my opinion.

If you're like me at one point or another you had everything nicely fitting in one house as a crafter and had no problems running your buisness out of that house or another location. If you've been around for a while chances are your lots available for harvesters is dwindling or has dwindled to almost nothing, or you've had to get an alt or arrange lot swap deals.

My point is this, combat classes don't need 5 houses and a factory to make a living, why should we? If they would raise the cap on resource stacks by a factor of 10 or even 5 and raise the stack size on factory crates the same the situation would solve itself. I don't know about most of you but personally 500k stacks versus 100k stacks means 1 house versus 5 to me.

I am just trying to lobby support for an issue that all of us crafters face. We've seen time and again that enough of us saying the same thing will make a change, hence why I am asking that we put this issue forwards.

Thankyou for your time and consideration

I really think the weaponsmiths are worse off than we are in this regard. We don't have the same amount of specific resource requirements that weaponsmiths have, and more importantly we can make a living selling one or two types of product, whereas weaponsmiths stock dozens of different weapons.

Between a house and two factories I've got plenty of storage. That doesn't mean I don't support what you're trying to do, it's just not high on my list.

i think this is a good point and would like to support this, as a noob back when game came out...i thought wow 100k of something gonna last forever...lol no....i have 2 houses FULL of resources and harder and harder to organize as i progress these days, a 500k limit, even on resources and not factory crates would be a hude advantage.

They could so easily get rid of part of this issue just by making resources and factory item stacks larger. Would cut way down the number of stacks you have to have.

I would love to see a new building type. Wharehouse. Give it a good storage to lot use ratio. Jack up the maint costs so it doesn't make houses obsolete. And make it simple inside with "bays" to help organize. And no interior doors. Larger factory crates would help tremendously, >100k stacks wouldn't help me because i have many stacks at around 50k.

The amounts of resources and items we need as craters is just insane. A full set of good oq+shock resources for ubese and composite, and layers, all with 500k+ of each resource type sucks up huge amounts of space. Add in the high OQ+Mall resources you want to gather for making things like low ham layers and whatnot and it gets worse. Then there's all the mob dropped thingies that we want to hold onto till we make something with em and it gets even worse. Then you've got your limited small stacks of rare spawn insane quality resources you want to save for uber items.

Then there's all the components. A factory run of psg's has components freaking coming out the wazoo! Then you've got layers laying around till you use them, segments laying around till ya use them. RFP's and Synth cloth, and Fiber panels laying around till ya use em.

Then there's all your harvesters. Got... I've got like freaking harvesters everywhere.

AAAAAAA!

Oh and add to that stacks of grind resources to make thigns like the psg components, and the tailor components. bleh.

Bigger stacks, crates, and restackable crates... oh yes, those would be wonderful!

A warehouse building styled after a factory but with only 1 compartment (factories have input and output) and the ability to take bags (like the bank) so one can organise would be grand. I would be even happy if one took the same amount of space/lots as a structure factory (bulky and 2 lots) and held 150 items like a 2 lot house (though even more than that would be even better... like, say, 200 items would even be nice). It would actually be more convenient than a house since I wouldn't have to worry about going this way and that in it following some goofy floorplan (the small generic style two is the cheapest to make but has the -worst- floor plan) but could see my stuff in an inventory interface.

Definitely need something to change. I have got to the point where I won't even feel like crafting because I have to have stuff scattered all over in houses and factories and it is becoming a major issue with me and those who I sell armor to. You have my vote!

Bigger stacks and a warehouse deal (like 1 lot, 150-200 items, high maintenance)...oh yeah...that would solve so many problems that just shouldn't be there
