I want to make an Interwoven RIS Armor Helmet or leggings and I was wondering what do I need to make it "uber". How many 7% NS Layers and how many NS Shards? Does it really matter is I get UBer Layers, whats the Cap, can I get above 80% Unsliced? Or is 80 the cap?

either 3x 7% and a yellow cube with 3% and janta hide 3% as an insurance OR 3x 8%, a yellow cube 3% and a shard!

The 8% combo is what i uses and hit 80% base on 3 of 5 pieces

What's your kinetic on those 80% pieces? I'm using 7% janta hides, 3% cubes, and triple 5% base (nerf day) 4% kinetic layers. Pieces have come out at 80% kinetic, 75% and 76% base, depending on the number of amazing successes.

Ew, you guys settle for 3% cubes?

i used the acklay ris schematic for a helmet...

3x 8% nightsister layers
1x 3% janta hide
1x4% yellow cube

my results were 64% kinetic 80% base (no you can't get above 80% base, otherwise i woulda had higher kinetic lol) 179 mind cost

i got lucky and got a 45% (perfect) encumberance slice. final results? 19/8/99 encumberance.

i made a helm for a friend using:

2x 11% nightsister layers
1x 7% nightsister layer
1x 4% janta hide
1x 4% yellow cube

dont know his slicing results... however the protections were 74% kinetic/80% base, and this was with a "failure". not moderate or critical, just failure. easily coulda had 80%/80% had it not been for that during the experimenting.

i now have 5% janta hides for myself... so i expect the next piece i make to be 80/80.

Ok so would you think i am wasting stuff if I use the following:

2 x 12% NS layers
1 X 7% NS layer
1 x 6% janta hide
1 x 4% or 5% yellow cube (not sure on this)

Maybe I should rather use a NS shard instead of the janta hides to get down encumberance?

Theres a 24% exceptional NS Armor layer up for graps, a few of them, 8 in total, should I get those, or I can't get above 80%, so theres no point?

that's almost exactly what i used for a friend's helm. in his i used 2x 11% NS layers, 1x 7% ns layer, 4% janta hide and 4% yellow cube. results were 74% kinetic 80% base (i would have hit higher kinetic, but i had a "failure" with one exp point - not a moderate or critical, thank God). i think you may want to substitute out the 6% janta hide and use the NS shard. or if you want to be sure to hit 80% on both kinetic and base, use your recipe. however, it's gonna vary depending on your resources. about 1/2 my RIS resources are very nice, while the other 1/2 are just average (500= oq+sr/2)

dang buy the 24% layers! what i'd do is make segments with them. i'd use one 24% in each segment then 2 stun layers in each segment and a nightsister shard. (max out resistance during experimenting then put the rest into durability)

no you cannot craft above 80%
