This is something I have yet to see any real conversations on (forgive me if there were and I just missed em...) but have any of you ever noticed that little category on your vendors for these and wondered when, if ever we'd see them?

Has this EVER been addressed even once since the game was launced? If it has I sure haven't even heard a whisper about it. In light of the upcoming combat balance patch, these could offer some unique possibilities to the armor problem.

I for one hope they never come out with armor powerups. Armor would be way too powerful and can you imagine loading 9 armor powerups onto yourself before every fight?

How about encumbrance powerups? Ever think about that?

If it ever happens it should be an uber loot and only reduce HAM and add spec protection so it'd actually make 90% armor worse cause spec protections are hardcapped at 80%

the lack of creativity in this community is astonishing...

if you can't think of any possibility other than raising resists, I feel sorry for you...really

What about a poweruplayer? If you make a piece useing such layer you will loose some protection while allowing the use of powerups later on?

Was a rather good thread about different mods a powerup could have a bit back. Including gas masks, exoskeletons (power armor), various skillmods and so on.

The best would be of coarse if all segments AND layers would be added in the final combine, so that if you are makeing a helm in need of 1 powerup (gas mask?) you wouldn't need a specific segment for it. So a helm would require say 3 segments and 3+3+3 layers for composite, also an enhancerslot. Haveing theese added in the final combine also helps the custom armormakers, so it is a win-win situation.

I've seen this, and often wondered what it's for. Is this something left over from before release?

Anyone know what the intention was/is?

Have to agree with a previous post. Pretty sad when you get a bunch of replies from people that obviously have nothing to add or any kind of answers. Just criticism towards a good question.

If you feel like you need to chime in on something you know nothing about, try this line......"Uh...dunno d00d." or maybe "r u sur ya seen this right?....uh...d00d"

What about the upcoming "armor nerf",which I assume is still happening unlike the "crafting nerf" awhile back.

Maybe these'll be a little present along with the nerf. I suppose we can always hope, although they'll prolly fall in the realm of artisan cfating, like weapon pups.

1.) We don't need armor powerups.

2.) How do you make a "armor powerup"? I could understand with weapons: scopes, muzzles, stocks, grips, barrels (just like real life firearms). But what would you put on armor?

3.) The devs should just delete the "Armor Powerup" listing from the vendors to fix this issue.

ya toad...can't you think of anything better to say?

I swear the overall IQ of the community slips further down the drain with each passing day...used to be you could have an intelligent discussion on new content, now all you get arel33t doodswith no creativity.

I can think of ALOT of good uses for armor powerups. Get compo out of your feeble mind for a minute and remember there are OTHER types of armor out there almost noone uses. These could help those.

...You could lower enc with a powerup...or swap resists, like say give a 30% increase to one type but reducing another type in the process. So if you were to carry around a 50% base suit of armor, you could also carry powerups to tailor it to the battle...slap on a kinetic powerup but then the energy resists will drop or vice versa

skill modded powerups would be cool but would prolly never happen

I like the gas mask idea although so far I've only seen that applicable in the geo caves. I think overall defense states would be nice and it would make sense too really. Weapon powerups increase offense, armor powerups increase defense. Sorta like skilltapes only with a 100 use shelflife. That would open up a whole new batch of useable items then. Carry around crates of dizzy powerups for Rancors or PvP...lol

Ya would be nice to have an intelligent thread where it doesn't involve name calling. You agree also toad?

I'd like them to fix other non-composite armor first before they start adding new stuff.
