Hi.I am in the grind and have read multiple guides on the best way to grind this puppy out, lol. But I think some of the folks that write those guides just use the easiest possible schem for the lowest amout of resources. Please let me in on what IS the quickest way to grind this wonderful non time consuming grind, lol.<---RIGHT, LOL.

What i did was grind the mabari armorweave chest plate....i started the grind when i was 2/x/1/2, the only prob is it needs the 3 identical synthetic cloth from a factory....i had to use someones elses but i would grind those things out. it was hell and when i was done i never wanted to make another armorweave chest plate(And i still have not).....it is a hard grind i was bord but it is fun once you get master and get all of your resources. I guess you could figure it out and buy all of the resources if you have credits...but i mined all my stuff...so it took me awhile i would grind untill i ran out of fiberplast and have to wait a day and start the gind again, it took me about 3weeks...but then again i waited around alot for factory runs and for the harvesters. I also sold alot of armorweave helms to keep me funded, they seemed to sell good on tatooine.

Mase,

There is absolutely no benefit whatsoever to using one schematic over another during the grind, from a XP vs. Resource ratio perspective. The XP granted by crafting is equal to double the number of resources used. That is a flat number, one that does not change from schematic to schematic. Now, you get a bonus from doing it practice mode of 5%, but that's it. Anyone who tells you different is flat wrong.

Anyway, when I ground up the trees, I used Armor Upgrade Kits for the simple virtue that they only required two different resources, (albeit in three slots,) making them easy to macro out. Mabari Chest Plates generate more XP, (by virtue of using more resources,) but they take forever and they require constant attention to grind out. AUK's only require two double-clicks on your metal and 1 double-click on your chemical. Using an in-game macro, (there are dozens out there, I won't waste your time with another one,) you can do those six clicks while watching tv, after a while.

One thing I'd suggest to you:

Use more than one Clothing & Armor Crafting Tool. The delay as each tool churns out the items, (even in practice mode,) will hobble you unless you get 4 tools, (for AUK's,) or even 6 tools, (for Mabaris.)

Now, there ARE other ways to make the grind go faster, like using 3rd party tools to simulate mouse gestures to the screen, but they violate the EULA and I won't reccomend them.

Use the XP you gain to rise up the Personal Armor branch of the skilltree until you hit Personal Armor III, at which point you should be able to start grinding out Ubese Armor shirts, which will generate double the XP. (Note: Make sure of this. It's been almost 6 months since I ground out AS, and since then the Ubese Armor Shirt has been nerfed so that it does not allow armor attachments any more; It uses CLOTHING attachments instead. There is a small, but nontrivial chance that it nets you CLOTHING XP post-nerf, though I really doubt it.)

I don't disagree with you, as I haven't really paid much attention to how much XP each piece gets you, but SWGCraft.comdoes notshow XP as 2X resources used. I read somewhere that it's also based on complexity to some degree.

Again, not disagreeing, but either you or SWGCraft have it wrong.

As a typical rule the 2x resources = xp granted is accurate. however there are exceptions to this rule like most others. I do believe AS is consistant in 2x resources = xp granted all across the board. Shipwright and a few others have varying degrees of ratios in their schems.

Anyways the short point of my post is that AS should be a 1:2 ratio regardless of the schem.
