Armorsmith Archive

First of all i am no Armorsmith and have no will to become so. I don't even know if this is the right forum for this post, but i have some thoughts or suggestions on how to change the Armorsystem even further.

The main reason for my thoughts is the problem that current armor has to cover a wide range of bodyparts,letting some races look quite a bit funny for my taste. Since hand and feet armor has allready been removed and only one pool beeing attackable after the CU, i don't see any reason whyheadand bracers (maybe biceps too) should'nt be removed as hit and therefore armorzones too. Leaving only chest and legarmor as true armorparts. Why that? Because there is so many potentialArmor in the Star Wars universe that simply has no helmet! Look at most of the Jabba Thugs (Weequay for example) , Bounty Hunters (Dengar, Boosk) or Rebels (Endor or Hoth).Some of them wearing hats or stuff like that but no helmets. It would be a lot easier to implement such armor later without worring about to put some ugly alien under that helmet.

I think this would also ad a lot of individualism since one would not have to hide under a closed helmet. The ones who like to fight anonymus, like maybe most imperials as i am, would be free to do so by just equipping the full set, as they do know with the boots and gloves.
