Thread: weird repair results, need some info

i had a chest plate, composite, repaired, the condition went down to 1/1, and the resistances all stayed the same. So will this piece work and just never decay now?

It's broken. You can wear it and deal with the encumberance, but it's not going to protect you .

it's odd, in that when i've seen a failure on a repair, it usually puts the protection percentages in the negative. THey stayed the same though on this piece

Sometimes repair failures result in 1/1 and sometimes they result in -3309/24981 (just throwing numbers in for that one)...when the condition hits the negatives, you'll see the resists go into the negatives. The 1/1 will partially protect you til that single point is gone. 1/1 armor is always good for display. But yes, sometimes it goes into the negative, sometimes not...usually when you try to repair a piece that is 0/##### you'll get negatives...if you have a failure on a piece that is 1+/##### it can drop the max condition to 1 and leave you with the 1/1.
