Thread: Does experimenting on Tailor Padded Segments help?

Has anyone done testing on this?

Granted, the 1st few spawns of the needed resources aren't that great, but I'm still curious if fully experimented Tailor components affect the resists for the Wookiee armor. As of right now, syth cloth and RFP's quality does not matter when it comes to crafting. Anyone?

from what I have read, it is working, but only a small amount. The difference is only from between 1% and 4% and is equating into like a 1 or 2% difference in product. But no personal proof of any of this.

I'll request the master tailor I work with to make one of each and test this issue out. If it does appear that there is only a very small benefit for experimenting padded segments (i.e.: 1-2% as compared to 1-5%) I'll see if this can be changed.

Okay, I am Master AS with 0304 in tailoring and this is what I came up with making Kashyyykian Ceremonial Bps:

(4% base with 7/8/7 HAM padding segments)
56% kinetic
22% base
142/67/100 HAM

(1% base with 2/3/2 HAM padding segments)
56% kinetic
20% base
137/62/95 HAM

(unexperimented padding segments 1% base 7/8/7 HAM)
56% kinetic
20% base
142/67/100 HAM

So, as you can see, there is a difference, but minimal. Only thing I can think of is that the 1% base is a high 1% (ie 1.5+) and the 4% base is a low 4, which would explain the only 2% gain over base.

Do you know what your experimental percentages are? Given that it seems to be a 1% = 0-25%, 2%=25-50%, etc, we should be able to interpolate what the actual base resistance percentages are.

Thank you for your responses. Looks like I don't have to grind Tailor 0/3/0/4 to make "uber" Padded segments. 1% doesn't mean sqat.

I did that myself. While in this armor it doesnt make much of a difference, what if the next set does? Im sure these padded segments will just be a part of all Kashyyykian armor, and sooner or later we are going to care about an extra 1-2%base.

Exactly.

But I kinda think this is a good thing. It means that for now, there is a market for crappy padded, and it doesn't need to cost alot, so that savings can be passed on to the wookies in their armor suits. Masters are not necessarily needed for this part, but might be later. Kinda like alot of our armor.

I've reported this as a bug. Once the armor hole is really fixed and the vuln shift bug disappears, it'll move up in the priority list.

What's been reported as a bug? The padded segments are adding exactly what they state they do.
