I have decided to add some challenge to this game. I am going to start from novice artisan, attain master armorsmith, and attempt to make a full set of RIS armor. I must admit that I know very little about the path ahead of me. If anyone has any intellegent advice to give (please do not set fire to this post, i really would like to try this) please feel free to share. I have heard that some of the material for the armor is EXTREMLY rare. Good, it will be a challenge. I am not asking for power grinding advice, free material, or anything like that, just some information and friendly feedback on my chosen path.

Thanks for your time

Yeah, the best possible thing would be to start mastering Swordsman and Doctor. This'll allow you to camp the GDK spawns and /cure disease /buff and heal your wounds. This may seem quite pointless, but when your start hunting the kimos.. it'll seem all too obvious. Every Kimo i fight, i use 10 carges from medisease packs. If your muon downfalls in the middle of a kill, you'll die and have to re-apply your buffs, thus redundant and fusturating trips back to society, searching for a doctor. Become self- sufficient, it'll help out if your gonna try for RIS armor.

**warning mate... its nearly impossible - it takes so long - probably a lot harder to get a RIS suit than tobecome a Jedi

i've seen many a good armorsmith (settled ones with great ressources and a broad customer base) burn out in RIS fever ... some even quit the entire profession because it took all the fun out of it.

you might have noticed that not a single one of the answerig people gave you advise on how to become armorsmith. they all gave you advise on how to become a "Giant Dune Kimogila" killer. and thats exactly what you will be.

my advise would be the following: if you wanna go for RIS armor than do it as a fighter. forget the whole armorsmith tree. find a friend in an armorsmith that hasn't done any RIS. ask him if he will do the quest if you provide him with all the materials. i bet every single one will be very thankfull and support you as far as he can.

why all this? the quest for RIS armor is a quest that can only be done by Master Armorsmiths. But its no challenge for an Armorsmith, it holds challenges that can only be solved by fighters ... we all would have hoped for another way but thats how it is ...

if you're on Wanderhome i'd be glad to team up with you. if not i wish you all the best on your way. even if you don't heed my advise and go for AS yourself ... ... just don't loose the fun!
